1. What Compass Provides

Compass is a personal planning and reflection application that may include features such as goal and plan tracking, reminders, routines, journaling, and optional AI-generated feedback on user goals and plans.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Compass. If local laws require a higher age for consent, you must meet that requirement or have a parent/guardian’s permission.

3. Accounts and Responsibility

You agree to provide accurate information, keep your login credentials secure, and accept responsibility for all activity under your account.

4. Your Content (Including Journal Entries)

Compass may store user-created content such as journal entries, reflections, goals, plans, notes, reminders, and preferences. You own the content you create.

You grant us a limited right to store and process your content only as needed to provide the service.

5. Encryption and Private Entries

• Encryption improves privacy but does not guarantee absolute security.
• You are responsible for safeguarding your encryption credentials (passwords/keys).
• If you lose access to encryption credentials, we may not be able to recover encrypted content.

6. Optional AI Module (Important)

Compass may include an optional AI feature that generates feedback, suggestions, or insights based on content you choose to provide.

• AI is optional. You are not required to use it.
• Not professional advice. AI output is informational only.
• No emergency use. Compass is not intended for crisis situations.

7. Data Export and Deletion

Compass provides tools to export your data and delete your data and/or account. Some limited data may remain temporarily in backups for system integrity and security.

8. Acceptable Use

• No hacking, abuse, or disruption of the service
• No illegal use
• No malicious content or harmful AI usage

9. Free Service and Future Monetization

Compass is currently free. In the future, we may introduce paid features. You will not be charged without your explicit agreement.

10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Compass is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or AI accuracy.

When you use the AI module, Compass may process the text you provide (such as goals, plans, or selected notes) to generate AI responses.
